The Moscow Mint – Branch of Goznak has a great experience of production of lapel pins and badges.
The Moscow Mint received its first large order for the production of badges in 1957. The team was entrusted with the production of badges and medals for the World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow.
Together with the Research Institute of Goznak the specialists of the Moscow Mint developed aluminum badge production technologies, instead of the previously applied copper alloys. For the festival badges production the specialists applied technologies of multicolor anodic coating (including gold colour) and organic enamel fillings also produced at the Moscow Mint.
An automated line of drying badges filled with organic enamels was put into operation at the Order, Medal and Badge Workshop then.
Today the Moscow Mint has equipment and technologies making it possible to produce lapel pins and badges of high quality and unique artistic finish.
Medals and lapel badges may be produced of precious and non-ferrous metals. The technologies of blackening, cold (automobile), hot jewellery (silicate, epoxide) enamels, mosaic, gilding or silvering, inserts of precious or artificial gemstones are applied for their finishing.
The Moscow Mint of Goznak offers manufacturing products according to the customers’ design. If necessary, the specialists of the Mint will develop a design for the theme offered by the customers.
Public institutions, large state-run and private commercial organizations and individuals are among the customers of the Mint.
Medals and lapel badges may be used as awards, marks of distinction, souvenirs or gifts.
