According to the long-lived tradition, the Moscow Mint of Goznak has manufactured enterprising products – two kinds of commemorative plaquettes of precious metals dedicated to the Orthodox Saints.
A plaquette of silver was dedicated to the celebration of the 700th anniversary of birth of reverend Sergius of Radonezh, the founder of the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Laura and a patron saint of Russia.
Two plaquettes were made in honor of St. Triphon – a patron saint of fishers and hunters; one of silver and the other made of silver with partial gilding.
The images of the Saints are depicted on the front side of the commemorative products, on the back side of each of them there is a prayer dedicated to the Saint. The plaquettes have been produced under the technology of stamping with oxidized silver and oxidized silver with gilding.
The author of the design and molding was Sergey Shmorgun, an artist of the Moscow Mint.
The plaquettes of the size of 30 x 50 mm are packed into a gift case.
